Casella Impresses With GWG
The Connecticut Gates earned another shot at a SCHL Pro-Am Championship after defeating the New Haven County Donkeys with a 6-4 win.
Rookie Dan Casella scored his first goal of the year and added the game winner late in the third period.
“I am just getting comfortable with this team. It is an elite group of players and I am just trying to find a way to fit in” said Casella.
The Gators also received goals from Scott McDougall, Bryan Leitch, David Lun, and Drew George.
Leitch added, “Bottom line is to put yourself in the opportunity to win championships and we did so with the win tonight.”
